MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ The Seattle SuperSonics placed guard Desmond Mason on the injured list Tuesday because of a sprained right knee.

The team did not immediately fill Mason's spot on the roster, electing to go with 11 active players for Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Mason, averaging 13.6 points per game, was injured in Seattle's victory over Milwaukee on Sunday after colliding with the Bucks' Anthony Mason. The knee felt worse on Monday.

``We'll miss his energy,'' coach Nate McMillan said before Tuesday's game in Minneapolis.

Rookie forward Vladimir Radmanovic, forward Art Long and guard Shammond Williams will likely see more playing time in Mason's absence.
