LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — The Latest on a shooting and vehicle crash in northern Colorado (all times local):
Police in northern Colorado say a driver who crashed into a car after being shot says two people tried to rob him while he was parked.
The shooting happened at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday near a park in Longmont and the driver crashed his minivan into a parked car about five blocks away. Shell casings were found near where the man said he was shot.
The wounded man was taken to a nearby hospital before being transferred to a Denver area hospital. Police say his condition isn't known.
They don't know if the traffic accident was caused by the shooting.
