Flash flood warning issued for Flagstaff, surrounding areas
Jul. 15, 2018
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Flagstaff and the surrounding areas.
Meteorologists say the warning is in effect until at least 8 p.m. Sunday.
Some part of Flagstaff received more than an inch of rain.
That has caused multiple vehicles to be stuck in water around the city and knocked out power to some traffic lights.
Arizona Department of Transportation officials are cautioning drivers to slow down on Interstate 7 south of Flagstaff in lower areas of the roadway due to the rainfall.
They say State Route 89A also faced delays due to the weather.
