KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) _ A bus exploded in the Pakistani city of Hyderabad early Friday, killing at least two people and injuring five, police said.
The explosion came only hours after the execution in Virginia of a Pakistani man for the 1993 killings of two CIA employees, but there was no evidence the two events were related.
Hyderabad is a center of ethnic tension between the ethnic Muttahida Qami Movement and Sindhi nationalists, and the site of occasional violence.
The injured were being transported to local hospitals, rescue officials said.
The blast occurred on a local bus near the Hyderabad bus station. The station is close to one of the city's main marketplaces.
