PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The family of a former high school basketball star in Maine is disputing police findings that despite the 22-year-old dying of a stab wound to the chest, no crime was committed.
The Portland Press Herald reports Patrick Lobor's father said Tuesday the information his family has received "raises more questions than answers."
He declined to explain what police told the family, or why the family disagrees with the findings.
Police say Lobor crashed his vehicle into a stopped car in Portland Saturday, got out of his car in the middle of the intersection and collapsed.
He died at the scene, and the occupants of the other car were hospitalized for treatment. Police have not said how Lobor was stabbed.
Lobor's family says a funeral service is tentatively planned for August.
