KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A suicide car bombing in the heart of the Afghan capital on Wednesday killed at least six people and wounded 31, according to Afghan security officials.
Police officer Mohammad Wali told The Associated Press that the bomber appeared to be targeting a local police station, adding that all of the dead and wounded were civilians
But Sediq Sediqqi, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said the car bomber's intended target was still unclear. Kabul's Murad Khani district, where the bombing took place, is full of potential targets — including the Finance Ministry, Defense Ministry, the presidential palace and a major Shiite Muslim shrine.
