Lasher leads Houston Baptist to 68-56 win over McNeese State

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Colter Lasher had a career-high 25 points to lead Houston Baptist to a 68-56 victory over McNeese State in Southland Conference play on Monday night.
Anthony Odunsi had 12 points and Ricmonds Vilde pulled down 13 rebounds for Houston Baptist (6-6, 1-1 Southland).
Lasher made a layup and nailed a 3-point jumper to break open a tight game and give the Huskies a 28-20 lead at the break. Lasher and Tyler Russell had consecutive three-point plays to give Houston Baptist a 44-29 lead with 12:53 remaining in the game. The Cowboys answered and closed to 51-47 when Lance Potier hit a trey with 7:57 left. The Huskies responded and coasted to the win.
Houston Baptist held the Cowboys scoreless the last 5:07 in the first half and the final 4:20 in the second half.
Desharick Guidry had 22 points and Kevin Hardy added 16 for McNeese State (6-7, 0-2).
