Treasury Bond Prices Move Higher

NEW YORK (AP) _ Treasury bond prices were higher at midday.
The price of the Treasury's main 30-year bond was up 1/8 point, or $1.25 per $1,000 in face value, around midday, while its yield hovered around 6.22 percent from late Wednesday.
Yields on three-month Treasury bills fell to 5.19 percent as the discount fell 0.01 percentage point to 5.05 percent. Six-month yields remained unchanged at 5.54 percent as the discount held at 5.31 percent. One-year yields fell to 5.65 percent as the discount fell 0.01 point to 5.34 percent.
Yields are the interest bonds pay by maturity, while the discount is the interest at which they are sold.
