YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (AP) _ A black mannequin was hanged by the neck on the campus of Antioch College, and school officials are considering discipline action against four students.

The first-year male students came forward at a community meeting Tuesday and admitted they were responsible for the incident early Monday.

``Their intent wasn't racial,'' said Scott Warren, Antioch's dean of students. ``Their intent was kind of to do a crazy stunt. But people are accountable for the consequences of their actions regardless of their intentions.''

Antioch, where about 7 percent of the college's 500 students are black, has long been known for its liberal social standards.

Warren said he wouldn't identify the four students. Their punishment is expected to be announced in a few days, he said. The mannequin was taken from the school's art department.
