CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water stained; 69-73 degrees. Black bass are fair on minnows and green pumpkin soft plastics. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on live bait, frozen shrimp, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 4.52 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are fair on Bass Hogg jigs, watermelon and green pumpkin soft plastics, and spinnerbaits around docks. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs off Kirkland docks. Crappie are very good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 2.04 feet low. Black bass are good on Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, white Terminator spinnerbaits, and weightless wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks along break lines of flats in 6-18 feet. Striped bass are fair trolling Curb's bucktail jigs and drifting live bait from Shaw to Flag Island. White bass are fair trolling Shad Raps along Hog Island, and jigging Pirk Minnows and Tiny Traps above Paradise Point. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on live bait and cut bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines baited with live bait.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.20 feet high. Black bass are fair on root beer/green flake Baby Brush Hogs along break lines and deep flats in bays, and on topwaters and flukes in feeder creeks. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Road Runners upriver in 5-15 feet. Crappie are fair on blue tube jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair in the upper end of the lake. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on juglines and trotlines baited with live bait.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 0.32 feet low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel catfish are fair on live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.09 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on slabs and pet spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on doughbait, shrimp, and liver.

GRANGER: Water stained; 68-72 degrees; 0.39 feet high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits near the mouth of the river. White bass are fair in shallow areas upriver. Crappie are good on chartreuse jigs in coves and sloughs. Blue catfish are good on prepared bait and shad in 4-15 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait upriver.

LBJ: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.77 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse topwaters, watermelon flukes, and green pumpkin tubes along break lines of flats. White bass are fair trolling Shad Raps and Tiny Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse/white tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.90 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon and pumpkinseed crankbaits and spinnerbaits near the dam. White bass are fair on slabs and spoons. Crappie are fair on watermelon jigs and minnows. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Blue catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with minnows and shrimp. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch and goldfish.

PROCTOR: Water stained; 68-72 degrees; 0.07 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits off points. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs and live shad. White bass are good on live shad. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on fresh shad in the lower end of the lake. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 71-75 degrees; 0.51 feet high. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on slabs and pet spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 69-73 degrees; 1.08 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are good on watermelon soft plastics and minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 0.09 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits and chartreuse topwaters in 8-16 feet. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are good on chrome jigging spoons and white jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver and fresh cut bait in 20-30 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water murky. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps, and soft plastic worms. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water murky; 73-77 degrees; 27.09 feet low. Black bass are very good on watermelon Senkos, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, swimbaits, and soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are fair on Red Fins. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are fair on cheesebait. Yellow catfish are good on live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are fair on chartreuse crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are good down rigging spoons near the dam and jetty. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are fair on watermelon red soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair on chicken livers and shad near the dam. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are fair on nightcrawlers, shrimp, and shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait and live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 20.46 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits, Texas rigged lizards, and large worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnow tipped jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on punchbait and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

COLETO CREEK: Water murky; 86 degrees at the hot water discharge, 78 degrees in main lake; 0.48 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 6-8 feet. White bass are fair on minnows and spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs near Coletoville Bridge in 8-10 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on live perch and shad in 8-10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON: Water murky; 72-76 degrees; 30.77 feet low. Black bass are good on deep running crankbaits and fair on Carolina rigged soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on cut bait and stinkbait in the river. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon Carolina and Texas rigged soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on silver/blue striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and cheesebait.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are fair on watermelon and green pumpkin soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and liver.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 0.16 feet high. Black bass to 6 pounds are fair on blue craw worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in creek channels. Bream are fair on live worms off piers and sandy banks. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on chicken livers. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.07 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits, soft plastics, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Blue catfish are fair on minnows and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 1.41 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon Senkos, lizards, and Brush Hogs. White bass are good on silver slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs in shallow areas. Bream are good on nightcrawlers and crickets. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with nightcrawlers.

STEINHAGEN: 1.21 feet high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 68-72 degrees; 1.40 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and slabs in the river. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait, cut bait, and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: 30.69 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Yellow Magics early, later switching to Texas rigs, Rat-L-Traps and jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows.

MACKENZIE: 73.13 feet low. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

MEREDITH: 59.78 feet low. TPWD has begun restocking the lake with Walleye. Reports of black bass are rare. No reports of smallmouth bass. Bream and channel catfish are being caught in good numbers.

PALO DURO: 59.20 feet low. No report available.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear on the main lake, stained up the river; 66 degrees main lake, 68 degrees up the river; 2.09 feet low. Black bass are good on 7-inch Power Worms, spoons and swim jigs (lots of bass moving up on this new moon). Crappie should get shallow this week. Crappie and bass are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on rod and reel with cut bait and punchbait on baited holes.

ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 65-69 degrees; 0.73 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on 5-inch Yum Dingers, Texas rigs and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows in the shallows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: 13.55 feet low. No report available.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water murky; 66-69 degrees; 0.2 feet high. Black bass are fair on Zara Spooks early, later switching to Texas rigs, crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 64-68 degrees; 0.5 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, Senkos and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows around shallow cover. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

NASWORTHY: 63-68 degrees; 1.32 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on jigs, shakyheads and Texas rigs. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 7.79 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on chartreuse (use Worn-Glo) nightcrawlers.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 63-68 degrees; 32.85 feet low. Black bass are good on bone Whopper Ploppers early, later switching to Texas rigs, jigs and weightless Yum Dingers. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs in the shallows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 63-68 degrees; 0.2 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on drop shot rigs, jigs, shakyheads and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers.

SPENCE: 49.88 feet low. No report available.

STAMFORD: 0.96 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on buzzbaits early, later switching to Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows in the shallows. White bass are fair to good on Rooster Tails. Blue catfish are fair to good on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water off color; 57-63 degrees; 21.99 feet low. No report available.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 55-62 degrees; 19.74 feet low. Black bass are very slow (the bass population was greatly reduced during the drought). No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies. Redfish are good in the marsh and the Louisiana shoreline on live bait.

SOUTH SABINE: Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around slicks and pods of shad.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on Bass Assassins Lit'l Johns and She Dogs. Black drum, sand trout and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair to good for waders on the shell along the east shoreline on Soft-Dines and She Pups. Redfish are good in the marsh on shrimp and Gulps.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good on the south shoreline on MirrOlures and Down South Lures while wading. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Sand trout are good in the ICW on fresh shrimp. Kingfish and ling are beginning to show offshore.

TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair to good on Dollar Reef on live shrimp and croakers. Redfish are fair to good in Moses Lake on mullet and shrimp.

FREEPORT: Trout are fair to good at San Luis Pass on shrimp. Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay. Trout and redfish are good at the jetties on live shrimp and finger mullet.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics and live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good at Shell Island on shrimp.

PORT O'CONNOR: Trout and redfish are good on topwaters over sand and grass in the guts in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp. Trout are good on the reefs in San Antonio Bay on shrimp and croakers.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good in the guts and channels on free-lined shrimp. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp.

PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good at East Flats and around Dagger Island on shrimp and crabs. Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp and croakers.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Redfish are good in the potholes on shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good in the sand and grass guts on topwaters and plastics. Trout are good at night in the Land Cut on live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good in the grass on small topwaters.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good on topwaters and plastics under popping corks around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes and while anchored with natural baits at East Cut.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp and live shrimp. Redfish are fair while drifting sand and grass on Gulps and live shrimp under a popping cork.

PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good in South Bay on topwaters and Gulps.
