Seattle school bus officials, driver's union plan mediation
Feb. 08, 2018
SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle's school bus service says it will be entering mediation with union leaders in an attempt to end a driver strike that has lasted five days.
KING-TV reports that First Student company negotiators and union leaders will meet on Thursday.
The company claims more drivers have been returning to work and more routes are back open, but parents say they're frustrated because they don't know which routes are active.
The strike impacts about 12,000 students in Seattle Schools.
First Student says it hopes the union will hold a vote on its latest offer.
