Italy makes 1 change for South Africa test
Nov. 20, 2014
PADUA, Italy (AP) — Italy has made one change to the team that lost narrowly to Argentina last week, bringing in Samuela Vunisa for his debut against South Africa.
The Fiji-born Vunisa was one of three debutants in Jacques Brunel's squad for the November tests along with Zebre teammate Kelly Haimona, who has already impressed as Italy ended a year-long losing streak against Samoa before succumbing 20-18 to Argentina last week.
Treviso wing Simone Ragusi has not made an appearance.
Vunisa replaces flanker Simone Favaro, who hasn't recovered from a neck muscle injury picked up in training.
"It's a dream come true to wear the Italy shirt," Vunisa says.
The bench remains the same.
Italy has lost all 11 of its matches against South Africa, including a 44-10 defeat in Durban last year.
