NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) _ Rod Zamor, Mikkel Larsen and John Estick scored two baskets each during a 12-point run starting the second half, lead Iona over Canidius 84-58 Sunday in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Larsen, the MAAC's leading scorer, had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Estick added 16 points for the Gaels (9-15, 5-7).

Craig Wise scored 17 points and Darrell Barley 10 for the Golden Griffins (15-11, 8-4), who made just 5 of 29 shots in the second half.

Canisius started briskly, leading 14-6 after two baskets and a free throw by Barley with 14:35 left in the first half.

After nine lead changes and four ties, Iona led 39-35 at halftime.

Iona led 51-35 after Larsen's basket with 16:36 left. Three straight baskets by Michael Saunders and one by Kelvin Browning provided the Gaels with their biggest margin, 84-56, with 25.7 seconds remaining.

The Griffs, whose three-game winning streak was snapped, are 2-8 in games this season following one or no days off. Canisius beat St. Peter's 75-67 Friday.

Mindaugas Timinskas and reserve Greg Barr had 10 points each for Iona.
