BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire woman on a newspaper delivery route has been sentenced to at least a year in prison for a hit-and-run at a convenience store that killed an employee.
WMUR-TV reports 56-year-old Andrea Rich pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of conduct after an accident. Police said she struck 55-year-old Ilene Sullivan in January while Sullivan was taking a break outside the Dunkin' Donuts in Epping where she worked. They say Rich got out of her pickup truck, but then got back in and drove away.
Prosecutors had asked for a sentence of at least 3 ½ years in prison.
Rich's attorney, Donald Blaszka, said she panicked and regrets her actions.
