NEW YORK (AP) _ Treasury bond prices were mixed at midday Friday.

The price of the Treasury's 10-year note was down 3/32 point, or 93.75 cents per $1,000 in face value, around midday Friday, while its yield rose to 5.48 percent from 5.47 percent late Thursday. Prices and yields move in opposite directions.

The 30-year bonds were down 9/32 point and yielded 5.63 percent, up from 5.61 percent late Thursday.

Yields on three-month Treasury bills were 6.21 percent as the discount rose 0.01 percentage point to 6.04 percent. Six-month yields were 6.17 percent as the discount hovered below 5.90 percent. One-year yields were 5.91 percent as the discount fell 0.01 point to 5.58 percent.

Yields are the interest bonds pay by maturity, while the discount is the interest at which they are sold.
