BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) _ Former NBA All-Star Dale Ellis pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge Wednesday in Bellevue District Court, 13 years after his conviction for assaulting his wife and resisting arrest.

Ellis was arrested last month after his wife, Monique, told police he had hit her during an argument at the couple's home. She had minor injuries to her face and fingers, but was not hospitalized. There were no weapons involved.

The former Seattle SuperSonics player was charged with domestic-violence assault _ a gross misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Sentencing was scheduled for March 22 for Ellis, who played for seven NBA teams and spent seven years with the SuperSonics.
