Cunningham Leaves Las Vegas To Rejoin Eagles
Jan. 06, 1996
VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Randall Cunningham, who rushed home Wednesday for the birth of his first child, returned to Florida on Friday to rejoin the Philadelphia Eagles.
The team is leaving Saturday for Dallas and the NFC divisional playoff the following day. Cunningham skipped practice to be with his wife during labor, but says he's ready to play again.
Felicity Cunningham gave birth to an eight-pound, nine-ounce boy early Thursday morning in Las Vegas. The Cunninghams left the hospital with Randall Jr. _ nicknamed ``Baby Nunu'' _ in tow Friday morning.
Cunningham spoke with KVBC-TV in Las Vegas after leaving the hospital and offered some advice for other fathers.
``The fathers out there who weren't able to or who don't plan on being there (during labor) because `Oh, I might faint or whatever' should think twice,'' Cunningham said. ``It's a beautiful thing.''
