WASHINGTON (AP) _ The nation's orange harvest for the 1987-88 crop season is estimated at 199.6 million boxes, 3 percent more than forecast in February and 10 percent more than last year, the Agriculture Department said Wednesday.

Florida production, based on March 1 indications, was estimated at 140 million boxes, up 4 percent from February and 17 percent more than last season's crop.

The California harvest was estimated at 55 million boxes, up 2 percent from February's forecast but 6 percent less than in 1986-87. The Arizona crop was indicated at 3.05 million boxes, unchanged from February and down 3 percent from last season.

Texas production, at 1.55 million boxes, was unchanged from last month's forecast but was up 77 percent from 1986-87's harvest of 875,000 boxes.
