101-year-old woman living alone dies in house fire

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 101-year-old woman who lived alone has died in a fire in her South Carolina home.
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Georgia Scott died from smoke inhalation in the fire that started around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at her house in North Augusta.
Carlton said in a news release that Aiken County deputies are investigating the cause of the fire.
