Jamaica police seize marijuana; 2 arrested

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Police in Jamaica say they have seized more than 260 pounds (118 kilograms) of marijuana this week in separate incidents.
Police said late Thursday that they discovered 223 pounds (101 kilograms) of marijuana stashed in five barrels in the island's southwest region. No one has been arrested.
Police said Friday that they also seized 40 pounds (18 kilograms) of marijuana during security checks Wednesday at the island's main international airport in Kingston. Two people have been arrested in that case.
