DENVER (AP) _ Nikoloz Tskitishvili, the 7-footer from the Republic of Georgia selected fifth overall in the NBA draft, signed with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The 225-pound forward averaged 6.6 points and shot 73 percent in 11 games with Benetton Treviso in the Italian A League last season.

Tskitishvili agreed to a buyout with Benetton Treviso last week.

Under the NBA's rookie salary scale, he will receive within 20 percent of $6.8 million over three years.

Tskitishvili is playing for the Nuggets in the Rocky Mountain Revue, which began Saturday.

The Nuggets have not reached a deal with Nene Hilario, traded to Denver after he was taken by the New York Knicks at seventh overall. Hilario is still facing a potential arbitration hearing against his former team, Vasco da Gama of Brazil.
