Dnipro player collapses in Europa League final

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk player Matheus has recovered after collapsing in the closing minutes of the Europa League final against Sevilla on Wednesday, according to coach Myron Markevych.
The Brazilian forward fell to the ground suddenly during a break in play and was stretchered off the field after receiving emergency medical treatment.
Dnipro coach Markevych suggested the 32-year-old's collapse may have been a case of exhaustion.
"As far as I know, it looks like he is OK," he said. "He worked a lot on the pitch today, so perhaps something went slightly wrong. But I think everything is all right now."
Matheus has struggled with injuries this season and had not played a full 90 minutes in any of the 14 previous games he had played during the campaign.
Dnipro lost the final 3-2.
