SENECA, N.Y. (AP) — The Ontario County sheriff's office has been looking for a truck involved in an accident that killed a 74-year-old New York woman.

WHEC says investigators planned to go to a landfill near the Town of Seneca on Monday.

They've been looking for a white tractor-trailer that apparently kicked up a large rock on Saturday. The rock smashed through a passing car's windshield, killing a passenger, Barbara Amidon.

Deputies don't believe anything criminal happened. But they want to provide as many answers as they can to Amidon's loved ones.

Lt. David Cirencione (suhr-ehn-see-OH'-nee) says law enforcers live in the community — and the tragedy could have just as easily happened to one of their families.
