SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Karl Malone scored 32 points and John Stockton added 21 points and 10 assists as the Utah Jazz handed the Orlando Magic their third straight loss, 107-93 Saturday night.
The Magic trailed just 77-75 at the end of the third quarter, but the Jazz scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter, five by Stockton, to lead 84-75.
Orlando cut its deficit to 85-80 on a 3-pointer from the corner by Nick Anderson, but the Jazz then went on a 10-1 run to lead 95-81 with 5:10 remaining, and the Magic never threatened again.
Malone, who scored 22 points in the second half after attempting only three shots in the first, moved within five points surpassing Dominique Wilkins (26,535) for seventh place on the NBA's career scoring list.
Vernon Maxwell, on his second 10-day contract with the Magic, tied his season high of 18 points to lead Orlando, which is 1-3 on a five-game road trip that ends Monday against the Lakers.
Gerald Wilkins added 16 and Charles Outlaw pulled down 16 rebounds, but the Magic, who made up deficits of 12 and 10 points, were unable to stay with the Jazz, who shot 56.9 percent from the field.
