LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) — A New York woman has been reunited with her grandmother's diamond watch and other pieces of sentimental jewelry after she accidentally left them inside an armoire that she gave away.
WIVB-TV in Buffalo reports the woman who took the armoire returned the jewelry to Janet Kenyon on Monday after she spoke to the TV station about the mishap. Kenyon says the woman refused to take a reward.
Kenyon had put the armoire on the curb outside her Lockport home because it was taking up too much space. A few minutes later, a woman offered to take it off her hands.
Kenyon says she was "careless" to have left the jewelry inside but felt "blessed" that the items were returned.
