ST. CHARLES, Ill. (AP) — A suburban Chicago woman who describes herself as a Christmas fanatic is helping decorate the White House for the holidays.
The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald (http://bit.ly/1HLy4pw ) reports Leslie Warmus of St. Charles is among 85 volunteers helping with decorations this weekend.
The 49-year-old says she's always been drawn to Christmas and loves the sentiment behind it of "peace on earth."
She says she owns more than 10,000 ornaments and has put up seven trees so far this holiday season.
Now Warmus is excited to do her part at the White House, where she says thousands of people will see the volunteers' handiwork. She says: "I want to put my little sparkle to it."
Warmus' husband applied online over the summer for the opportunity to volunteer.
