MONTREAL (AP) _ Atlanta Braves slugger Gary Sheffield left Wednesday night's game against the Montreal Expos because of a left hamstring injury.
Sheffield grabbed his hamstring as he ran out a grounder in the fourth inning. He favored his left leg as he walked to the dugout.
Sheffield, batting .245 with six homers and 17 RBIs this season, missed 10 of 12 games in late April due to a sprained left wrist. Darren Bragg replaced him in right field.
