NEW YORK (AP) _ Anthony Hopkins wanted to give ``Hannibal'' audiences something to remember from 1991's ``The Silence of the Lambs.''

Throwing in ``Hello, Clarice'' and other Hannibal ``The Cannibal'' Lecter-isms was like giving the audience ``a morsel of something sexy or spicy,'' Hopkins told reporters.

But the Oscar-winning actor drew the line at repeating the ``pfft pfft pfft'' noise that he made in the first movie when he talked about eating the guy's liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

``Hannibal'' opens in theaters Friday.
