Jul. 25, 2017
HARRISON, N.Y. (AP) — New York State Police have arrested a man they say was involved in the shooting of another man who was found wounded along Interstate 95 in Westchester County.
Troopers say they arrested 55-year-old Jamil Fields, of the Bronx, on Monday. Police say Fields has been charged with attempted murder and assault in the July 18 shooting of 24-year-old Mouhamed Cisse.
Police say Cisse managed to escape a U-Haul truck after being shot but was struck by another vehicle on I-95 in Mamaroneck in Westchester. Police found the victim on the side of the road before tracking down the U-Haul, which was driven by Fields.
Fields was later taken into custody in the Bronx. He's scheduled to appear in Harrison Town Court Tuesday. It couldn't immediately be determined from authorities if he has a lawyer.
