SEATTLE (AP) _ The Seattle Mariner traded left-handed pitcher Randy Williams to the San Diego Padres on Friday for infielder Billy Hogan.
The 29-year-old Williams was 7-2 for Triple-A Tacoma and made six relief appearances with Seattle after being called up in September.
Hogan, 21, had a combined .219 batting average in 74 games last season at minor league teams at Fort Wayne, Ind., and Eugene, Ore.
The Mariners also added three minor league players to the major league roster: infielder Mike Morse and outfielders Wladimir Balentien and Shin-Soo Choo. In another move, the Mariners sent infielder Ramon Santiago outright to Tacoma.
