MADISON, Wis. (AP) _ Sean Mason scored 13 points and Wisconsin used a 35-5 first-half run for a 68-35 victory Saturday over North Carolina-Wilmington.
Wilmington's 12 points were the fewest allowed in a first half by Wisconsin (2-0) since 1950. The Badgers converted 50 percent from the field in the half while the Seahawks (0-4) were 20 percent.
Wisconsin led by 31 points in the second half and played its reserves in the final six minutes.
Mike Byington led Wilmington with 13 points. Duany Duany scored 11 points and Sam Okey added 10 for the Badgers.
Wilmington scored just five points in the first 18:25. Wisconsin led 35-5 with about two minutes left.
The Seahawks scored the final seven points of the half.
Through two games, the Badgers have allowed an average 40.5 points.
