TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (AP) _ Marat Safin and Yevgeny Kafelnikov won semifinals Saturday to set up the first all-Russian final at the $550,000 President's Cup tennis tournament.

Safin, the defending champion and seeded No. 1, beat Sargis Sargsian of Armenia 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (5). The second seeded Kafelnikov eliminated Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia 7-6 (6), 6-2.

Safin and Kafelnikov both lost in the U.S. Open semifinals last week. That was the first time two Russians were in the final four of a Grand Slam tournament in the Open era.
