SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) — Bosnia's State Court has ordered a one-month detention for a suspected arms smuggler and for a state prosecutor. Both men were arrested over the weekend suspected of organized crime and corruption.
According to charges, prosecutor Mujo Smajlovic disclosed secret information to Robert Ilicic, a statement from the court said Monday. In 2009, Ilicic was also sentenced in Croatia to nine years in prison for drug dealing but hid in Bosnia.
Prosecutors said the arrests came after monthslong investigations into their colleague's dealings. The investigation revealed a number of cases of abuse of office, said the spokesman for the prosecution office, Boris Grubesic.
