Massachusetts gas prices continue to fall
Jan. 11, 2016
BOSTON (AP) — Gas prices continue to fall in Massachusetts.
AAA Northeast said Monday its latest price survey found that self-serve, regular has gone down another penny in the past week, to an average of $1.95 per gallon.
That's a penny below the national average and 30 cents lower than the price in Massachusetts a year ago.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as little as $1.79 per gallon and as high as $2.19.
AAA says demand for gasoline typically hits its lowest point in January.
The organization says falling crude oil prices and an abundant domestic supply continue to drive down prices at the pump.
