LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Danny Manning scored 20 points Sunday as the Los Angeles Clippers completed their preseason schedule with a 98-93 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel.
The Clippers finished their preseason with a 4-4 record - 2-0 against Maccabi and 2-4 against NBA teams. The Clippers beat Maccabi 146-112 Thursday night.
Ken Norman added 19 points and Ron Harper 18 for the Clippers in Sunday's game.
Doc Rivers, acquired in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks during the off- season, played his first game for the Clippers and had two points in 11 minutes. Rivers ended his holdout on Friday.
Jose Vargas led Maccabi with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Nadav Henefeld and Motti Daniel added 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the losers.
The Clippers led 46-40 at halftime, but Maccabi narrowed the deficit to 67-66 entering the fourth quarter.
The game was tied at 68-68 before the Clippers outscored Maccabi 14-5 to go on top for good. Maccabi got no closer than four points after that.
The Clippers outrebounded Maccabi 53-43. Loy Vaught led Los Angeles with 10 rebounds.
