Oct. 24, 2017
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A nurse who worked at a Pennsylvania county jail has waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges that she had a sexual relationship with an inmate.
The Morning Call reports that 27-year-old Danika Alexander was arrested after other Lehigh County Jail employees noticed "unusually high foot traffic" by an inmate to and from her work station earlier this year.
Investigators say Alexander would repeatedly call the inmate to the medical department and had sexual contact with him at least once.
Alexander is no longer employed the company that provides nursing services at the jail.
She is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.
