SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Ruben Rivera, one of three San Diego Padres who filed for salary arbitration last week, agreed Monday to a $700,000, one-year contract.

The 26-year-old outfielder struggled last season, hitting just .195 with 23 homers and 48 RBIs in 411 at-bats. He made $265,000.

In addition to his base salary, Rivera could earn $500,000 more in performance bonuses this year: $100,000 each for 115 games started or 485 plate appearances and $100,000 more for each of the following four levels: 125-525, 135-565, 145-605 and 150-625.

Right-handers Brian Boehringer and Donne Wall are the only Padres remaining in arbitration. Barring settlements, they will exchange figures with the team Tuesday, and hearings will be scheduled for next month.
