Some angered by Baker's support of GOP committee slate

BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Charlie Baker is taking heat from some members of his own party in Massachusetts for actively supporting some candidates running for seats on the Republican State Committee.
Republicans voting in Tuesday's Massachusetts presidential primary will also select the 80 members that make up the state committee.
Baker's involvement has drawn resentment from some more conservative members of the GOP who believe the moderate Republican governor is going too far in his efforts to reshape the Massachusetts party and its platform.
Baker has endorsed several candidates who work in his administration.
The Boston Globe reports that Baker has raised more than $300,000 to help his slate of state committee candidates but is not required under state campaign finance rules to disclose the identities of the donors.
