TORONTO (AP) _ Vince Carter scored 30 points, including 18 of Toronto's 20 points in the third quarter, and the Raptors won for the 10th time in 11 games with a 95-91 victory Friday night over Orlando.
The Magic's chances were hurt when John Amaechi missed two free throws with 10 seconds remaining and Orlando trailing 91-90.
Doug Christie, who had 22 points and seven assists, converted both of his free throws to give Toronto a 93-90 lead with 6.1 seconds remaining. Charles Oakley's two free throws with 2.1 seconds remaining gave Toronto a 95-91 lead.
The Raptors went on a late 12-2 run down the stretch to lead by six, but Orlando's Pat Garrity made a 3-pointer, Chucky Atkins had a layup and Amachi had a tip-in as the Magic took a one point lead with 1:40 left.
After Tracy McGrady missed a mid-range jumper, Kevin Willis grabbed an offensive rebound and then layed it in to give the Raptors a 91-90 lead with 43 seconds remaining.
Following a wide-open miss by Orlando's Ron Mercer, Oakley fouled Amaechi, who missed both his free throws.
Atkins and Ben Wallace led Orlando with 14 points each.
McGrady had 13 rebounds for Toronto.
Notes: Carter had three fouls in the first half. ... Orlando coach Doc Rivers was sporting a green tie for St. Patrick's Day. ... A crowd of 19,985 attended the game.
