PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) _ Unknown attackers fired two rockets toward a building used by U.S. and Pakistani troops hunting for al-Qaida fugitives, local officials said Tuesday. The rockets missed the troops and there was no word on casualties.
Residents said the first rocket landed in a deserted area while the other hit a shop less than a mile away from a small building where some U.S. and Pakistani troops are staying.
A local official in the town of Miran Shah said the rockets were fired from Afghan territory. It is the third time in recent months that rockets have been fired on such facilities at Miran Shah.
