Aug. 23, 2018
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 23, 2018--Monetate, the worldwide leader in personalization, today announced that it has named Shikhin Agarwal as Vice President of Products. As the head of product management, he will be responsible for driving innovative new approaches for the rapid adoption of personalization technology across channels for the world's most trusted brands.
Shikhin’s appointment comes at a time when Monetate is poised to seize a tremendous market opportunity. Personalization has become a necessary element of brands’ customer engagement strategies, as consumers increasingly expect individualized experiences from the brands with which they interact. The Monetate Intelligent Personalization Engine addresses this need by analyzing more than one million data points per second to help brands make more informed decisions about how to engage with their customers on an individual basis – whether via a product recommendation, creative treatment, special offer, or dynamic copy. In the past three months, Monetate has been recognized as an industry leader by two leading analyst firms.
“We have helped brands secure more than one billion purchases through the influence of our personalization platform,” said Stephen Collins, CEO, Monetate. “Shikhin will ensure we can help brands drive their next billion, with an adept eye for the products and features our clients need as the expectations from consumers continue to grow higher. He is a tremendous addition to our leadership team as we continue to pioneer solutions for solving brands’ biggest challenges delivering truly personalized customer experiences.”
Throughout his career, Shikhin has led international teams to advance product innovation at early and growth-stage companies. Most recently, he co-founded and led product strategy, go-to market and M&A for social media analytics company Crowdbabble. He also served as an expert reviewer of investment proposals for a premium startup investment firm in Toronto, the Ontario Centres of Excellence, and an advisor to financial technology startup Clik.ai and HR technology company BizMerlin. Earlier in his career, Shikhin led product management and product marketing teams in social media advertising tech, financial technology and other VC-funded enterprise software companies in Silicon Valley, New York, Washington, D.C. and Bangalore, India.
“I thrive in organizations that are focused on helping their customers win through innovative products, which is what attracted me to Monetate,” said Shikhin. “The company was a pioneer in AI-driven, 1-to-1 personalization and its products have forever changed the way brands engage with consumers, for the better. I look forward to pushing the boundaries of what is possible as the Engine and market both continue to evolve.”
Shikhin has relocated from Toronto to the company’s Pennsylvania office, where he joins the executive leadership team and will report directly to Collins. Shikhin has an engineering degree from one of the top tech schools in India, IIT Bombay, and MBA from the University of Michigan.
