FARGO, N.D. (AP) — About 50 North Dakota Air National Guard airmen have returned home after six months of duty in southwest Asia.
The group of Happy Hooligans from the Fargo-based 119th Wing flew home early Monday. They're part of nearly 150 airmen who deployed last year — the unit's largest deployment since the Korean War. Most of the airmen are now back.
The deployment included civil engineers, finance specialists and communications specialists who provided relief for Air Force personnel on duty in the area.
