Teen-Ager Crushed To Death by Soda Machine
Mar. 04, 1988
SEATTLE (AP) _ A 600-pound soda machine toppled and crushed to death a 17-year-old in a school hallway Thursday, firefighters said.
J.R. Strom of Lynnwood ''was probably climbing on top and possibly rocking it,'' said Shoreline Fire Battalion Chief R. Ladue. ''That's the only way it could have come down on him.''
Ladue said the boy was found about 15 minutes after the machine fell at King's High School. A teacher needed six male students to help him lift the machine, he said.
