Forty-One Dolphins Found Dead On Adriatic Beaches Since January

LECCE, Italy (AP) _ Forty-one dead dolphins have been found on beaches on the southern Adriatic Sea since January, and authorities say the animals are apparently beaching themselves.
Two dolphins were found Sunday, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. One was a 650-pound adult female that had been dead for five days, the agency said. Experts had not yet examined the other animal.
A magistrate and a museum director from the southern region of Apulia have been trying to find out what causes the creatures to beach themselves.
