2 dead, 1 hurt during violent night in Washington DC area

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Police say two people have died and another was critically injured during a violent night in Washington, D.C.'s Maryland suburbs.
Laurel police tell The Washington Post that 54-year-old John Budd was found with fatal stab wounds Tuesday evening.
Prince George's County police tell news outlets that officers found an unidentified man who later died when they responded to a "cutting" incident in Camp Springs early Wednesday. Hours later, county police then found an unidentified man with gunshot wounds in Clinton. He is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Laurel police say 35-year-old Reginald Alston was arrested Wednesday on charges of murder and first-degree assault, among others, in connection to Budd's death. It is unclear if Alston has a lawyer.
Police did not release further details.
