Man Sentenced in Chess Stabbing

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) _ A man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for stabbing another man to death over a $5 chess match.
Lawrence Douglas, 32, was sentenced Thursday in the slaying of Craig Williams, 25, who was stabbed 16 times during an argument at a party in September.
Douglas claimed self-defense. A jury found him guilty of manslaughter.
