Former President Ford Released

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) _ Former President Ford was released from Eisenhower Medical Center on Wednesday, 12 days after he entered the hospital with pneumonia, his chief of staff said.
Ford, 92, returned to his nearby home before noon, spokeswoman Penny Circle said.
He is doing well,'' she said in a brief statement.
Ford was admitted to Eisenhower Medical Center on Jan. 14.
The nation's oldest living former president and his wife, Betty, have lived in Rancho Mirage since leaving the White House in 1977.
