Dizzy Angels' Pitcher a Mystery
Jul. 26, 1998
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Two hospital tests failed to turn up the cause of Troy Percival's latest bout with dizziness, the Anaheim Angels said Sunday.
Percival, who leads the AL with 29 saves, was taken to a hospital Saturday shortly after arriving at Kauffman Stadium. A brain MRI and an arteriogram were both negative, the Angels said.
Percival remained at the team hotel on Sunday.
He first complained of dizziness twice on Thursday, both before and after recording his 29th save at Minnesota. Tests that night also failed to identify the cause.
