NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Two men have been indicted in the fatal overdose of an inmate at a Louisiana jail.
Nola.com/ The Times-Picayune reported Friday that an Orleans Parish grand jury indicted 30-year-old Darrell Fuller on a charge of second-degree murder in the February death of 23-year-old Colby Crawford at the Orleans Justice Center jail. The grand jury indicted 28-year-old Bradley Bright with obstruction of justice in connection with the death investigation.
The Orleans Parish coroner said in May that Crawford died of a cocaine overdose. The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office believes Fuller provided the cocaine. Bright is accused of removing cocaine from the cell.
It's unclear if Fuller and Bright have lawyers.
