Seeman Leaving Officiating Spot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Jerry Seeman, the NFL's director of officials since 1991, will retire after the 2000 season.
The 64-year-old Seeman, who began with the league as a line judge in 1975, made the announcement to a meeting of the league's officials in Dallas on Saturday. He became a referee and worked two Super Bowls in that position.
Before become the league's officiating chief, he was a school administrator in Fridley, Minn.
